Purdue PetSafe Program

The PetSafe program is a community service offered by Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine to meet the short-term housing needs of pets of any species whose owners are temporarily unable to provide care because of domestic violence, hospice care, natural disasters, etc. It provides:

  • Up to three weeks of board for the pet(s)
  • Vaccinations, if necessary
  • Food and water
  • Daily, one-on-one care
  • Family visitation

Families or individuals in need of assistance from PetSafe should ask an emergency agency representative to call 765-494-1107 to speak to an associate of PetSafe.
